OBJECTIVES

This project has the following objectives:

  • To develop an AI related roadmap and platform with personalised learning pathways for recent and future teachers.
  • To design and deliver of a novel hybrid training in AI ethical and responsible integration.
  • To enhance personalized learning pathways and independent AI-use efficiently at homeworks in the context of competence-based learning for students with disabilities and learning difficulties.
  • To foster overall digital resilience and readiness of both teachers and students.

    We will design and delivery of a novel hybrid training of recent and future educators in AI ethical and responsible integration. With these trainings we will enhance personalized learning pathways in the context of competence-based learning for students with disabilities and learning difficulties.

    To support these students we will develop an Illustrative guidance handbook for students with disabilities and learning difficulties on independent AI-use efficiently at homeworks.

    Overall with the project activities we will foster digital resilience and readiness for both teachers and their students with special needs.

    Working collaboratively as part of the planned Community of practice on EU level on the project topic with colleagues, administrators, and technology specialists to implement AI initiatives will increase the effective communication and teamwork skills of both partners and members of the community.

    Teachers need to see how AI can be integrated into different disciplines, such as science, mathematics, humanities, and arts. These topics will part of the forum included into the platform, which the project will develop.

    Encouraging students to think critically about AI and its implications is important. Teachers should model this by demonstrating critical thinking themselves when discussing AI topics. Teachers will training their students by using the illustrative handbook.

    AI tools can significantly assist students with disabilities and learning difficulties in preparing homework and assignments including:

    • Text-to-speech and speech-to-text tools;
    • Grammar and writing assistance;
    • Visual aids and interactive content creation;
    • Time management and organization tools;
    • Virtual tutors and chatbots.

    In this way the project outcomes will be supportive tools for teachers, not replacing their role as educators.
